in this piece, the graceful hula becomes a study of performance anxiety

Color blocked in, palm fabric applied, hula skirt is painted in.

Blocking in skin tones
Decided at this point to make a hula skirt out of raffia. Looks much better.

Subtle skin variations and glazes added.
Applied fake jasmine and painted it yellow for lei.

Volcano, water painted in, belly rounded, palm fronds added.
